Embed inside a client company, map how it actually runs, and turn the map into production systems the team uses every day. You own the result, not the ticket.
About the role
Every Zoro engagement starts the same way: one engineer inside a real company, watching how the work actually moves. Not the org chart version. The version where an invoice waits three days because one person is on vacation.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer you run that loop end to end. You map the operation, build the system inside the client's stack, deploy it, and stay until the client's team runs it without you. Then you take what the field taught you back to the platform.
What you will do
- Embed on site with client companies and map how they actually run
- Build and ship production systems inside the client's existing stack
- Own the deploy, the adoption, and the result, not just the code
- Train the client's team until the system runs without you
- Carry field truth back into the Zoro platform and its patterns
What we are looking for
- 5+ years shipping production software that people depend on
- Comfort in a room with operators, founders, and executives
- Strong across the stack: data models, services, and the screen
- Calm under ambiguity; you make the plan when nobody hands you one
- You write clearly, because the map and the rules live in writing
Nice to have
- Consulting, agency, or forward-deployed background
- LLM agents running in production, with the scars to prove it
- Domain depth in logistics, sports, education, or finance
