Design the operating screens companies live in: consoles, approval surfaces, and the few moments that decide whether a system earns trust.
About the role
Zoro sells trust in software that acts. That trust is won or lost on a screen: the approval queue an operator clears every morning, the console a founder opens before a board call. Design is not decoration here; it is the difference between a system people rely on and one they route around.
You will own design from the first sketch to the shipped screen, sitting with engineers and inside client companies. The work is dense, calm, obvious software, and a design system that keeps it that way as the surface area grows.
What you will do
- Own design from first sketch to shipped screen
- Turn operational mess into clear, dense, calm interfaces
- Sit with engineers and clients; design against real workflows
- Build and hold the design system across every surface
- Prototype in code or close enough to argue with engineers
What we are looking for
- 4+ years designing complex software: tools, consoles, operations products
- A portfolio of shipped work, not concepts
- Strong typography and information-density judgment
- Fluency with engineers: you speak states, constraints, and data
- Taste you can defend in plain language
Nice to have
- Motion design that explains state instead of decorating it
- Data visualization for operators, not analysts
- B2B or internal-tools background
